I’m a Career Ownership Coach with The Entrepreneur’s Source where my mission is “to help people assess their career possibilities and dreams – specializing in their exploration of business ownership and franchise opportunities”.
I spent 34 years in the newspaper industry. I began my career as a night typesetter and worked my way up into management through the ranks from Production Manager, to Art Director, to Corporate Systems Manager and eventually Director of Operations with McClatchy Newspapers. During my early years, I also had two entrepreneurial small business ventures in the field of graphic design and production art. Those years in the newspaper industry fostered many different skills, including leadership, innovation, and collaboration. Valuable experiences and skills were built working with great teams. I have been fortunate to work for some great companies but (probably like you) something was missing.
I had long desired to again become a business owner and take my future into my own hands, but I didn’t know where to start. As I entered into my own career transition phase, I knew it was the right time to bet on myself and venture out on my own.
As your coach, I am committed to create a safe space for you to learn about different possibilities with no pressure or judgement. I will be here to guide you through the discovery process and allow you to make choices that are best for you.
During more than 34 years as a business professional, I developed a focus on client service, small business strategy, leadership, organization management, commitment to increasing profits, and senior business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
I’m a widower with 24 year old twin boys and a 21 year old daughter and live in Merced, CA. Some of the things I enjoy doing outside of work are: fishing, music festivals and live music, gardening, cooking and BBQing, camping, art, anything space or aerospace related, and spending time with friends and family.
